Dillon Eustace Appoints New Heads of Asset Management & Investment Funds and Commercial Litigation

Dillon Eustace is pleased to announce the appointments of Cillian Bredin as Head of Asset Management & Investment Funds and Peter Bredin as Head of Commercial Litigation.

Cillian succeeds Etain de Valera and Peter succeeds John O'Riordan, both of whom have made significant contributions to the growth and success of their respective practices.

About Cillian Bredin

A partner in the Firm’s Asset Management & Investment Funds team, Cillian brings over 18 years’ experience advising investment funds and asset management clients in Ireland and internationally.

Cillian has built a strong reputation as a leader in the investment funds and asset management sector and a trusted adviser, valued for his ability to navigate complex legal and regulatory matters while prioritising the commercial requirements of his clients. He works closely with institutional and privately owned fund sponsors, investment managers, management companies and fund boards across a wide range of strategic and regulatory issues.

Cillian’s experience spans a diverse range of investment strategies, from private credit and private debt to liquid alternatives, money market funds, index trackers, hedge funds, real estate and UCITS. Cillian also has a particular interest in complex international fund structuring and the regulation of sustainable investing.

About Peter Bredin

Peter Bredin is a partner in Dillon Eustace's Commercial Litigation team and has more than 20 years' experience advising clients on complex commercial disputes and investigations. 

Known for his strategic and pragmatic approach, Peter has represented clients across some of the most significant and challenging disputes affecting businesses and financial institutions. His practice encompasses disputes involving financial services, business relationships, professional duties, fraud and insurance coverage. 

He represents financial institutions, companies and individuals in litigation, arbitration and mediation proceedings. Peter also advises on regulatory inquiries and investigations as a member of the Firm's Regulatory Investigations team.

He is a member of the International Bar Association and the Commercial Litigation Association of Ireland and currently serves as Chair of the Cross Border Disputes and Compliance Committee of DRI, a leading organisation of defence lawyers and in-house counsel.
