Our Asset Management & Investment Funds team have been involved in the European exchange traded product (ETP) market since 2005, advising in relation to all matters pertaining to the authorisation of and ongoing advices to UCITS ETFs and ETPs
Our specialist ETF team consists of four partners together with a number of associates and solicitors.
We continue to engage with clients, the wider industry (including through our participation in the Irish Funds ETF group and the EFAMA ETF group) and our membership of AIMA. We have strong relationships with key individuals within the Central Bank of Ireland’s policy division and have been actively engaged in the consideration of semi-transparent ETFs in Europe representing a number of US issuers in their engagement with the Central Bank of Ireland.
We also have a dedicated listing team, which is experienced in advising all types of funds and specialist structures, including active and passive ETFs listed which are traded on a range of international exchanges.
Dillon Eustace was named ETF Law Firm of the Year 2023 at the ETF Stream Awards. The partners in our ETF team also regularly speak on expert panels at ETF events internationally, including ETFGI summits, ETF Stream, ExchangeETFs and InsideETFs conferences.
Relevant Experience
Representing a number of US issuers seeking to establish a UCITS ETF to enhance their global (non-US) distribution offerings.
Representing a number of US issuers in the semi-transparent active ETFs regulatory landscape, in their engagement with the Central Bank of Ireland.
Advising on cross border mergers of UCITS ETFs and re-domiciliation to Ireland.
Advising on the sale and purchase of a UCITS ETF.
Through active participation and thought leadership in the European ETF industry, through our role as the chair of the Irish Funds’ ETF group and participation in EFAMA working groups.
Advising on the establishment of Europe’s first UCITS ETF focussed on the military defence industry in response to the ongoing global conflicts and establishment of a uranium product in light of the energy crises.
