We advise our regulated clients on the implications of the EU sustainable finance package of legislation for their business arrangements and reporting requirements, the establishment of ESG funds, sustainable real estate investment, corporate governance, dispute resolution and litigation and employment rights and obligations. Our work in this area also includes advising financial institutions on green lending as well as government bodies regarding the financing of social housing.
We also provide legal insights and thought leadership on ESG developments across each of these practice areas.
Our cross-departmental ESG & Sustainability team comprises expert lawyers from our Asset Management & Investment Funds, Banking and Capital Markets, Corporate and M&A, Employment, Financial Regulation, Real Estate, Litigation and Dispute Resolution and Taxation teams.
Our team advise financial institutions on green lending as well as government bodies regarding the financing of social housing. In relation to governance, we advise clients on the legal aspects of ESG investments and on issues concerning ESG reporting and maintaining ESG records. We have expertise in climate litigation and advise on greenwashing from both an enforcement and reputational standpoint. We work with clients to assist them in navigating the evolving regulatory landscape and our regulatory investigations team are on hand to advise on risk management and enforcement procedures.

Acting for the Land Development Agency in the forward purchase of 142 residential units from Cairn Homes Properties Limited at Archer’s Wood, Delgany, County Wicklow, to be used for cost-rental.
Acting for Franklin Templeton on the acquisition of five residential developments for leasing for social housing.
Acting for AIB in a green loan facility to an Ardstone ICAV sub-fund, provided in the form of a revolving credit loan facility to finance a large portfolio of newly built residential properties in Dublin and Kildare.
Documenting of a sustainable finance framework and related ESG policies and terms of reference for sustainable finance committees.
Providing advices on the prevention of practices of greenwashing and green-hushing.
