Diversity and Inclusion

Diversity and Inclusion

Our achievements and culture are all built on our people. Creating an inclusive and welcoming environment is a priority for the Firm

We are committed to providing a diverse and inclusive work-place. Diversity and inclusiveness (D&I) is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that a diverse workforce brings unique perspectives and strengths, enriching our ability to serve our clients effectively.

By fostering an inclusive environment where all individuals are valued and respected, we not only uphold the principles of fairness and equality but also strive for excellence in the legal profession.

We recognise the importance of D&I to our business and our commitment to D&I is part of our Firm’s values which helps guide our decision-making processes. Our dedicated D&I group is led by a senior partner who takes a leading role in promoting the Firm’s D&I values, through updates, educational seminars and influencing policy change.

We aim to deliver gradual but continuous improvements on our D&I performance each year and our D&I Policy guides the Firm’s commitment to D&I, with a view to keeping its objectives, goals and practices under review on an annual basis.

Our D&I group is tasked not only with ensuring compliance with our statutory equality duties outlined in the Employment Equality Acts 1998-2015 and the Equal Status Act 2000 and other relevant legislation, but also to ensure that the principles underpinning our commitment to D&I are fostered through the culture and operation of the Firm.

Initiatives in D&I include:

  • D&I / unconscious bias training for all Partners and Senior Managers.

  • Annual Pride Month celebrations at Dillon Eustace.

  • Participating in the Dublin Pride parade with the OUTLaw network. In 2023 and 2024 Dillon Eustace was a proud sponsor of the OUTLaw’s 2023/2024 Pride activities.

  • Internal events to support Work Equal (WorkEqual - Working for a society that champions workplace equality and fair remuneration).

  • Internal seminars and education sessions to ensure Dillon Eustace is an autism-friendly working environment.

Invisible Disability Ireland Educational Session

We hosted an educational session with Emily Larkin, founder of Invisible Disability Ireland, who spoke to staff about invisible disabilities and hidden conditions and illnesses.

Emily provided insight into some common misconceptions around invisible disabilities and highlighted the importance of raising awareness and understanding the challenges faced by those with an invisible disability.

Celebrating Pride in Dillon Eustace

Our Diversity and Inclusion Committee’s goal is promoting inclusion within the Firm and celebrating the diversity of its staff. This year our committee educated staff weekly during Pride Month on LGBTQ+ related issues such as pronouns, resources to help support LGBTQ+ family members and friends and the history of Pride in Ireland.

AsIAm: Creating an Autism-Friendly Workplace

Dillon Eustace staff attended 'Creating an Autism-Friendly Workplace' delivered by Adam Harris the CEO of AsIAm, Ireland’s national autism charity - an organisation that promotes understanding, acceptance, and inclusion of autism in Irish society.

Be part of a diverse and innovative team.
